Hello Friends of Shengwa,
Our always giggling and sharp eye-lined friend passed away in August 2020. She was starting out her career as a pharmacist and enjoying life in her new town of Gibson’s BC on the Sunshine Coast. Shengwa was flourishing in life after school. She was actively expanding her hobbies beyond taking selfies and eating avocados, and had recently swam in the ocean! One of her favourite activities was spending time with her roommate and her roommate’s cat, Gilbert. Shengwa loved Gilbert. Gilbert was a regular character in Shengwa’s snapchats and he brought her so much joy. When Gilbert was acting strange one day Dr. Shengwa, RPh, was on the case and discovered he had serotonin syndrome!
So we thought sponsoring a Cat Activity Space at the Abbotsford SPCA would be a great way to honour her. We think she’ll enjoy watching cats play for the years to come!
How it works: it costs $500 per year to sponsor a cat activity space so depending on how much we raise, we can sponsor the space for up to 10 years in Shengwa’s name. The SPCA will give us the 10th year free if we can raise $4500 for 9 years of sponsorship!
Our goal is to complete the campaign before her birthday on December 25th.
