Help Us Finish Building a Safe, Functional Shelter

Darna Animal Rescue is a small, volunteer-run, no-kill shelter in Carlet (Valencia, Spain).

We rescue animals from abandonment, abuse, and life on the streets — but our shelter urgently needs essential construction, plumbing, and solar repairs to remain operational.

After months of severe weather, our infrastructure has suffered major damage. Some areas were never fully completed due to lack of funds. We are now facing critical repairs that must be done to keep the animals safe and allow daily operations to continue.

What We Still Need to Complete (Urgent):

Construction work — repairing damaged structures, securing fencing, rebuilding storage areas, and reinforcing the dog zones so they remain safe in storms.

Plumbing work — installing a stable water system so the animals have reliable drinking water, and we can clean, disinfect, and bathe them safely.

Solar system replacement — recent storms destroyed the remaining solar panels. Without solar power, we have no electricity, no water pump, and cannot run even the basics.

Ayúdanos a terminar las obras esenciales para garantizar un refugio seguro para más de 60 animales

Darna Animal Rescue es un refugio pequeño, sin ánimo de lucro y no kill en Carlet (Valencia). Rescatamos animales del abandono y el maltrato, pero nuestro refugio necesita con urgencia reparaciones de construcción, fontanería y energía solar para poder seguir funcionando.

Tras meses de tormentas y fuertes lluvias, gran parte de nuestra infraestructura ha quedado dañada. Algunas zonas nunca pudieron completarse por falta de fondos. Ahora nos enfrentamos a reparaciones críticas que debemos realizar para garantizar la seguridad de los animales y el funcionamiento diario del refugio.

Lo que aún necesitamos completar (urgente):

Trabajo de construcción — reparar estructuras dañadas, reforzar vallas, reconstruir zonas de almacenamiento y asegurar los espacios de los perros para que estén protegidos en caso de tormentas.

Fontanería — instalar un sistema de agua estable para garantizar agua potable, limpieza, desinfección y baños seguros para los animales.

Reemplazo del sistema solar — las últimas tormentas destruyeron por completo los paneles que quedaban. Sin energía solar no tenemos electricidad, no podemos bombear agua y no podemos mantener lo básico.
