The people of Western Oromia/Wollega continue to be exposed to forced displacements and hunger. Tumsa Lammii, a grassroots, on-the-ground, organization is formed by Wollega University educators to improve the collection and delivery of humanitarian assistance to this affected area. A primary challenge for diaspora humanitarian aid collectors has been to find on-the-ground distributors which can take months to identify, and months more to negotiate terms.
