Support My Father’s House Mission: Shelter for Those in Need
A Hand Up in the Coldest of Times
My Father’s House Mission (MFHM) has been serving those displaced in the Robertson County, TN area for six years. Our mission is to provide a hand up, rooted in love and mentorship, to help individuals discover their worth in the eyes of Jesus and their purpose in life. Through overnight lodging, showers, meals, devotionals, mentorship, and access to resources, we strive to guide our neighbors toward self-sufficiency.
In July 2024, God blessed MFHM with the purchase of a permanent building in Springfield, TN. This facility will allow us to expand our mission, providing a safe, warm space for those in need. However, we are still working to meet state and local building codes required to open the doors.
A Crisis We Couldn't Ignore
As winter temperatures plummet into the teens and single digits, the MFHM Board, in partnership with the United Way, made the decision to shelter displaced individuals in a local motel starting January 12, 2025. This unbudgeted initiative has provided a lifeline for 57 individuals, including three families with seven children. Each person has received not only a warm bed but also three meals a day and the love of Jesus in action. At the peak, 22 rooms were rented for those displaced.
This effort cost approximately $22,000 for the three weeks in January, and we’ve prayerfully decided to extend similar services for the week of February 16th as the severe cold weather conditions have returned to the area. During the three weeks in January, 57 different individuals were served, resulting in 1548 meals served and 794 bed nights provided.
A Call to Action: Be the Hands and Feet of Jesus
We believe in the words of Matthew 25:40: “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of mine, even to the least of them, you did it to me.” Now, we ask you to join us in this mission.
Your generosity can make an immediate and eternal impact. Here’s how you can help:
• $35 provides a warm meal for a family.
• $150 sponsors a night of shelter and meals for a family.
• $500 helps cover an entire week for a family in need.
No gift is too small, and every dollar helps us keep our commitment to shelter and care for those displaced during this critical time. Your support will also allow MFHM to focus on completing construction so we can open our doors and continue serving our community for years to come.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
God has blessed MFHM to be a light in Robertson County, but we need your help to shine brighter. Will you answer the call?
Please donate today and share this campaign with others who feel led to make a difference. Together, we can ensure that no one is left out in the cold.
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need. Your kindness and support mean the world to us.
In Christ,
The My Father’s House Mission Team
