Hi, my name is Olivia Salesses, and I am raising funds for my mom, Shelly Bostick.

She is currently in the hospital undergoing extensive testing for a possible diagnosis of multiple myeloma or similar cancer. While we don’t have all the answers yet, doctors are working tirelessly to run labs, CT scans, MRIs, and a bone marrow biopsy. The waiting and uncertainty have been incredibly difficult, and watching her health decline so quickly has been heartbreaking for our entire family.

Anyone who knows my mom knows she is the definition of strength, kindness, and selflessness. She’s the one who never hesitates to step in when someone needs help—whether that’s volunteering in the community, lending a hand to a friend, or simply being a shoulder to lean on.

She also has a deep love for the outdoors, which has always been a source of peace and joy for her. To see her now—unable to do the things that bring her happiness—has been incredibly hard.

Unfortunately, in addition to the emotional strain, there’s also a heavy financial burden. My mom does not have health insurance, which means every hospital stay, test, and potential treatment comes with an overwhelming out-of-pocket cost. On top of that, she is unable to work right now, and daily living expenses are piling up.

I am organizing this fundraiser to help cover:

Hospital and medical bills without insurance coverage

Travel expenses for specialist visits and treatments

Everyday living costs while she cannot work

Any unexpected needs that arise as her care continues
