My family and I are facing a rough road ahead. As some of you may know, Shelly has been in and out of doctors offices and emergency rooms a number of times starting in November. All of this started with abdominal pain. After more then one ER visit and a CT scan to try to discover the origin of the pain (which is the gal bladder), a mysterious mass the size of a large orange was discovered. It is still undetermined yet what level of danger this mass might be but it plus the gal bladder, which has decided to completely quit working, will be removed May 14, 2018. Because we were unable to receive the appropriate care due to our insurance we are forced to have all of this done in the hospital in Gainesville, FL. Which is a five hour drive from our home in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

We are seeking aid because the expenses for travel have already depleted us. Shelly has already been forced to miss days of work due to the severe pain of her gal bladder. She will also be forced to miss an unmeasurable amount of work due to her major surgery and however much time is needed to recover. The hospital is going to keep her there for a minimum of 5-10 days and then however much time is needed once she gets home. Though the gal bladder removal is a simple procedure, the mass could potentially be connected to one of not more of her organs which is where the complications could occur.
