Shelly Campbell’s Medical Care and Treatment
Donation protected
As many may know the last couple years have been exceedingly hard for our family. Shelly suffered a massive stroke Friday morning and was life flighted to Portland, where she is being monitored closely in the ICU. In the following weeks she will be transferred to a long term care facility. We are praying for healing, although this will be a marathon and not a sprint.
Our family is not equipped to cover the cost to provide the services that she so desperately needs. She is an amazing soul, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She is a the truest kind of friend. She always makes sure everyone else is taken care of. Now, she is the one needing care.
We are asking for assistance of any kind as it makes all the difference. If you are unable to donate, we ask that you please share the link. Thank you all for your kind words, prayers, love and support during this difficult time. It means a lot to us all. ❤️
This last year has taken a toll on Shelly tremendously juggling being a full time grandma, a child’s mental health crisis and the loss of her beloved father to cancer in May. She is a pillar to everyone in her life. Shelly has a heart of gold and was always helping those she loves. In order to give her the fighting chance she deserves we had to make the decision to surgically to remove a large portion of her skull to allow for swelling of her brain. The right side of her brain is severely damaged and we do not yet know the extent of the effects. This side of your brain typically holds your speech, your motor abilities, vision as well as some of your personality. Shelly will require round the clock care, intensive physical therapy, and likely need to live in an assisted-living facility. Fortunately insurance does cover some, but not all of these cost.
