Hi, my name is Kate and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my beautiful cousin, Shelly.

On the 11/8/22 we senselessly lost our selfless, faithful, kind hearted Mother/ Grandmother/ Sister/ Aunty/ Cousin/ Friend/ helper to all in a Robbery. Her life was taken before her time, leaving us all in shock and processing the unimaginable grief and hole she has left behind. Anyone who knew my Aunt Jax would remember her grace, kindness and a golden heart that gave to any people in need without a second thought.

A death is incredibly hard to process for anyone in grief, and how this has unfolded has added many extra layers, including practicalities.

Shell is Jax’s only child and currently resides in New Zealand. She will need to head back to South Africa and sort out her mother's belongings, funeral costs and home, where it all took place. Her husband and son will by her side to hold her emotionally in this time to deal with the unfathomable task. This will be expensive as they will take time off work and need to pay for 3 flights plus costs once over there. As you can imagine, this has all happened suddenly and unexpectedly without any time to plan for the expenses.

I am opening this fundraiser to all our communities to help cover these costs for them so that they don’t need to think of this side of the practicalities and can move with what is in front of them without having to think of this part.

We are so grateful for all the support thus far in messages and love and would be so appreciative in receiving anything that could collectively help towards this goal.
