Friends and family,
Shelley is the loving wife to Richard Porter and a mom to two beautiful grils--Chloe and Shayle as well as a step mom to many others (she is truly the best). She recently just became a Tax Assistant/Receptionist at Cornerstone Tax Services, LLC and for those who know her, she has always invested her all into everything that she does.
Earlier this month, Shelley suddenly became ill and visited her doctor due to symptoms of dizziness. Her doctor prescribed some medication to treat the dizziness and soon-after her leg went numb. As the symptoms continued to worsen they finally made a visit to the ER. Specialists performed tests on her and discovered that she had suffered a stroke when one of the main arteries feeding blood to the right side of her brain became pinched and she has been recovering in the hospital ever since.
Shelley is doing well but still experiencing additional symptoms such as double vision. They just moved her to the therapy floor today as she will be learning how to properly walk again.
While we are all so thankful Shelley is doing well, we are very aware of the financial difficulties this might place on their family. With Shelley staying in the hospital and Richard spending every possible moment supporting her, their income is limited. Richard and Shelley would never want to ask for help, that's why this fund is being created. Expenses are already piling up with the costs from the emergency room and the stay at the hospital for therapy.
All funds will go to supporting Richard and Shelley and their family during this difficult time. Your contributions are noted and greatly appreciated.
