Shelley's Journey to Secure a Safe Home

Hi Donors,

my name is Shelley, and I’m asking for your help. Eight years ago, I moved back to Illinois to help take care of my parents. They both got diagnosed with cancer stage four and my daughter and I took care of them. After their passing, we continued to pay for their estate, when recently my siblings sold the house from under me, took the family car that was supposed to be willed to me, and left my daughter, my dog, and myself to be homeless. We’ve been living in hotels for a month (because I am diabetic and need a fridge to store my insulin) and we need help raising funds to provide lodging and to buy our first home.
