Shelley’s Hope: Covering Transplant Evaluation Costs

Hi friends and family,
We’re reaching out during a season we never imagined we’d be in.
My mom, Shelley Segree, has been battling advanced liver disease, and after months of appointments, tests, and uncertainty, she has been approved for a transplant evaluation at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a huge step forward and one we’re incredibly grateful for — but it also comes with significant out-of-pocket expenses.
The evaluation itself can take over a week of intensive testing, and during that time we’re required to stay close to the hospital. Unfortunately, travel and lodging costs are not covered by insurance, and extended stays near Mayo add up quickly.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Lodging during the transplant evaluation (7–14 days)
• Travel expenses to and from Jacksonville
• Meals, parking, and basic daily needs while attending testing and appointments
This evaluation will determine whether my mom is a candidate for a liver transplant — something that could quite literally save her life. Our focus right now is making sure she gets through this process without the added stress of worrying about financial logistics.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply keep us in your thoughts and prayers, we are deeply grateful. Every bit of support helps lift a weight off our shoulders and allows us to focus on what matters most: her health and this chance at more time together.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being part of our village.
With love and gratitude,
Meagan & Trey Robyn & John
