VIDA DENTAL MISSION TRIP
Hey everyone! I'm a junior at East Tennessee State University pursuing a degree in biochemistry. It is the first step of an amazing journey to becoming a dentist. My dream is to create a practice that evolves around one mission: help others in the faith of God. In December of 2015, I hope to be involved in a Dental Mission trip with the organization VIDA in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. With this experience, I can grow as a person, work for what I truly believe in, and gain practical experience while changing many lives. On this trip I will be allowed to provide first hand help to those who aren't as fortunate as we are; those who can't go get a routine 6-mo checkup at the dentist. People in these countries are suffering from massive amounts of pain, and they need dental attention immediately. I will be working under a general dentist, assisting in anyway possible. I hope for this to be one of many trips of providing help under the will of God. Please be apart of this amazing journey with me and help make it possible. Remember, you're not only helping me, but the many in need of this amazing service. The trip alone costs $1,630; but I am responsible for airfare to and from Costa Rica/Nicaragua including other expenses. My goal is to raise $3,800 as well as collect donations such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss etc. from local dentists in the area.
