Shelley - One Day At A Time

Donation protected
Our good friend Shelley Normandin was 1st diagnosed with a Stage 4 Glioblastoma brain tumor (cancer) on October 15th, 2016.  She immediately required major Brain Surgery at Memorial Hospital Hollywood followed by intense chemotherapy and radiation.  Shelley, with the never ending, optimistic support of her long time love and dear husband Eric, her son Brian-21, daughter Rachel-17 and all her friends and family has since continued to fight this horrible diagnosis head on.  Monday, July 2, 2018, Shelley again required a 2nd major Cranial Surgery, this time at the University of Miami to remove a reoccurrence of the tumor. Despite the intense challenges facing Shelley and the Normandin Family, they remain eternally positive and are currently embarking on the task of Neuro Day Rehab at UM.  This is to aide Shelley in regaining function on her right side and with her speech and cognitive abilities while further treatment plans are made.  As you can imagine, this type of therapy, the major surgeries and post surgical treatments can be quite costly.  This page was made to create an avenue for assisting Shelley and the Normandins during these very difficult times.   On August 14th, Shelley and Eric are set to celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary.  Let's all join in and contribute to the Normandin's cause better positioning them to celebrate many more years together with Eric, Rachel, Brian and the rest of their friends and family.   The week of April 8, 2019, Shelley was admitted into the hospital once more. A MRI revealed that the cancer had spread to the other side of her brain. Together with her family, they made the difficult decision to end further treatment and enter hospice care.  All of the thoughts, prayers, phone calls, cards, and visits have been greatly appreciated beyond words. On June 2, 2019, Shelley passed away. Her love will live on surrounding her amazing husband Eric, in the eyes and smiles of her wonderful children Brian and Rachel, and in the laughter of everyone who knew and loved her. Our Goal is to generate immediate funds to assist the Normadin Family in paying for the extensive medical bills that have accumulated. These funds can fill some of their family's income void while also assisting Rachel with her continued education following High School.  Donations of any size are dearly appreciated and are of the highest urgency.  Thank you all kindly for your thoughts, prayers and generosity.
