Shelley Nelson Moore’s Fight against lung cancer

Hi

My name is Shannon Smith. I am humbly asking for donations for my Sister, Shelley Nelson Moore, whom was diagnosed with Stage 3A adenocarinoma of her left upper lung on November 7th 2022. She has never smoked or has any family history of lung cancer. She has had her chemotherapy treatments and now it’s time for surgery to remove her tumor which will be to remove her upper left lobe of her lung with reconstruction of her pulmonary artery due to where the tumor is located. We will be going to Tampa , Florida for consult and Surgery on her lung. We will leave Tuesday for her consult appointment on Wednesday. We do not know a surgery date yet. My parents and I will be making the trip with her. At this point, we don’t know her length of recovery and stay in Florida.

The donations we receive will be used for lodging and food and anything my sister may need while there. We are unsure of a deductible for this major surgery at this time. It will also be used for any expense for her care. We will not misuse these funds by any means. Any money that is left over will be given to others in need or a charitable organization.

My sister is my best friend and she is so close to God EVERY DAY! She is such an inspiration to me and anyone that knows her. She is beautiful inside and out. She is a Nurse Practitioner and she genuinely loves helping others. She has a beautiful Smile and Heart that brightens any room. She is very faithful to God and has been so strong through this entire process. God has revealed himself multiple times. So Many tears have been shed over the passed 4 months. She has such peace in her heart. If only there were more truly faithful sweet Christians in this world like her, then we would all be in Heaven right now. I am not one to ask for help from anyone. I was always raised to be prideful. But on behalf of my sisters needs, I humble myself to ask for help.

Please, MORE than anything PRAY for complete healing for my Amazing, Strong, Beautiful Sister. She deserves the best things in life and last year was very devastating for her and our family. God is soooo Good to us no matter the trials we all face. God always has a plan and we trust in his plan!!!
