Shelims brothers funeral donation

Dear all,

Barking Train Operator Shelim Miah has tragically lost his beloved brother who passed away suddenly at the age of 41 due to sepsis after contracting Covid and having kidney failure. He leaves behind a wife and young children.

Shelim has had to bury both his parents and now his brother in the space of around 2 and a half years. As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for him.

The cost for the burial at The Gardens of Peace is £3250 along with funeral fees of up to £950.

Shelim will be the member of the family who will again be leading the funeral organisations and we have an opportunity to give him some help and support in this.

One day we will all pass away. We hope that our friends and family can also help with our burials. Please donate whatever you can to help with the costs and say a prayer for the deceased and the family he leaves behind.

"Verily I will test you with fear and hunger, and loss of wealth, life, and the fruit (of your labour), so give glad tidings to the patient ones."

Please also make the intention to attend the funeral which will likely be held at East London Mosque (Whitechapel).

Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, "Whoever attends the funeral procession till he offers the funeral prayer for it, will get a reward equal to one Qirat, and whoever accompanies it till burial, will get a reward equal to two Qirats." It was asked, "What are two Qirats?" He replied, "Like two huge mountains."
