Sheila’s Bo Is Fighting to Recover – You Can Help
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support. Today, in a tragic and sudden accident, Sheila Smith/Perkins’s beloved dog, Bo, was struck by a car right in front of their home—and right in front of her. Bo is still with us, but he’s in rough shape and facing a long, painful road to recovery.
Bo has been by Sheila’s side for 8 years, a loyal and loving companion who is truly part of the family. He’s more than just a pet—he’s her best friend, her shadow, and a constant source of comfort and unconditional love.
Bo is currently undergoing surgery for injuries to his legs and collarbone, and will be staying overnight at the emergency veterinary hospital for care and monitoring. The situation is heartbreaking and overwhelming, both emotionally and financially.
For those who know Sheila, you know she’s the kind of person who gives her all to others. She’s a cheer coach, teacher, mentor, and friend—someone who shows up with her whole heart for her students, her family, and her community every single day. Now, she’s the one who needs help.
The emergency vet bills are high, and with continued care, medications, and physical therapy likely needed, the expenses will only grow. This was an unexpected and traumatic event that no one could have prepared for.
We are humbly asking for donations to help cover Bo’s medical expenses so Sheila can focus on his healing without the added stress of financial strain.
Any amount helps. If you’re unable to give, please share this with your network. Bo means the world to Sheila, and with your help, we can make sure he gets the care he needs to recover and come back home where he belongs.
Thank you so much for your support, love, and kindness.
With gratitude,
