Sheldon's Cancer Fund

This spring we found out that my otherwise healthy and vivacious dog of 10 years, Sheldon, has an aggressive, inoperable form of sarcoma in his leg and shoulder that will only continue to worsen. Our veterinarian suggested that the only course of action is for radiation, however the closest veterinary oncologist to us is almost 2 hours away. After driving down for his preliminary consultation visit and CT scan, we have been given the treatment plan. It will be an aggressive 18-20 treatments, given Monday through Friday, with weekends off, for four weeks. The oncologist assured me that radiation is MUCH easier on dogs than it is on people and he will just be sleepy for a little while after his treatments, but will otherwise be pretty normal. 
I will be doing a lot of driving and losing a lot of wages, but none of that compares to the $10,000 price of the treatments that needs to be paid in advance. And quickly, as the longer we wait, the more it will continue to grow. He is already 2.5 months out from the excision of as much as could be removed, so the vet wants him in as soon as possible. 
After paying for his surgery, X-rays and lab work, I have gone through a good chunk of change already the past few months, so I ask from the bottom of my heart for any help that you would be willing to give. Sheldon has been with me since he's been seven weeks old and I'm not ready to imagine life without him when he has so much more life to live. I know that this is a big ask for my little potato dog, but he means the world to me and I know he has loved some of you immensely, even if after only briefly meeting. I cannot tell you how grateful my family and I would be for helping this loving, obedient and ball-obsessed boy become cancer free.
