Sheldon Hurst: A Volunteer Firefighters Fight Against Cancer

My name is Tabitha, I am Sheldon and Kay Hurst daughter. My dad is fighting a fight that no one should have to fight.

Sheldon has kidney and lung cancer.

He has been on Meeker Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years, he has served the community and assisted surrounding fire departments when mutual aid was needed. He has always been a dedicated fireman. He is proud to serve.

My mom at times has asked him to step down. He would always reply, "it is what I am supposed to do."

He has put his heart into being the "Fireman"

They cannot travel this long and scarey road without God first, family and friends next.

So many have been wondering about what is going on and we felt it time to let everyone know without gossip or hearsay.

"Our world fell apart. Cancer is very invasive and destructive to our body. Even after the fight, it's a very long process.

The cost of fighting Cancer is a lot in itself. I am making this gofundme to try to a least help them financially with the cost of treatments plus travel to his treatments and appointments. While dealing with the cancer and working towards treatment, Dad will be losing hours at work and most likely his job. This will put a heavy load financially on Mom and Dad, and that is the last thing that they need to worry about at this time. My mom has been by his side and I know the medical bills are stressful. If you are able to give, any amount is greatly appreciated. If you are not able to it's okay. The thing they need the most is Prayers. They need all of the prayers they can get.
