After nearly 20 years, my trusty van has gone to the gas pump in the sky. It got me through daily use, a round trip to California and at least 15 trips back and forth between Seattle and Utah. Without my van, my life is basically confined to a few square blocks around my apartment. Now its time for a new one. Despite what you may have heard, local TV news producers don't make enough to pay for a $60,000+ accessible van. Why so expensive? Good question. Your donation will help buy a new van, that will hopefully last another 20 years, and then have it converted to be wheelchair accessible. Since I'll be putting so much money into it, its important to get a high quality van and conversion to make sure it lasts. That van will get me to and from work, to the grocery store, to doctor's appointments and any other place I need or want to be. Vegas road trip maybe? (Don't tell Dad).
