Shelby's Story. A touching memorial.
Donation protected
Shelby; A life that’s been taken far too soon from all of us. In an act thats been way too hard to wrap our heads around. This was not supposed to be how her story ended. Shelby was supposed to grow old, see her boys grow up, and live a beautiful and peaceful life.
This is the story of Shelby. . .
Shelby was an amazing woman. She lit up any room that she walked into. From her laugh to her smile or her beautiful eyes, she made everybody feel warm and invited around her.
Shelby’s story is tragic, and she was taken from us way too soon.
She is a warrior. A victim to domestic, but nonetheless a brave warrior who fought for many many years to give her and her boys a better life. Unfortunately, just like some warriors do, she lost the battle. But her memory lives on.
Her boys will grow to understand the courageous and determined woman that Shelby was. Her boys gave her life, motivation, and the unconditional love she’d always deserved. They were her whole world.
As we are now all blessed to be watched over by Shelby, I hope we all can make her a promise. That promise is to never let her story die.
Shelby was an amazing friend, mom, sister, aunt, significant other, and daughter… among many other things as well.
Shelby, you are life, love, and hope. Your memory will forever be alive.
I am sure I can speak on behalf of everyone, your firecracker personality, contagious laugh, and mesmerizing eyes will be missed greatly. We love you Shelby, thank you for being our beautiful Angel. . .
The family is asking for donations to go to Northwest Bank in Spirit Lake Iowa. These donations will help with the funeral expenses, and any expenses that William and Charles will have as well as establishing college funds. .
These donations are to continue giving the boys the life that Shelby fought so hard to give them. Hopefully this will help them get on their feet as young men in the future.
Shelby may be gone, but she will never be forgotten.
Shelby's story will be used to empower women all over the country and maybe even the world, to realize they have the power to stand up in the fight and to get away.
Shelby's not a statistic. Shelby's not just a headline. Shelby is a beautiful, one of a kind, and very loved woman. Her story will live on.
Please make sure to share Shelby's story, share the wonderful memories you have, please share #justiceforshelby.
We will be making scrapbooks full of pictures and memories for her children to hold on to for many years.
If you have a memory or a picture that you would like included in the scrapbook, please bring that to the funeral
We will print out and include any pictures or stories that people may have, even if they are unable to attend.
Shelbys story does not end here.
