Update: My Nephew Shelby Miller is awake from the Medically induced coma. He is sitting up and talking. His mother says he is on a liquid diet for now and will be sent to a regular hospital room sometime today. Thank you so much! Your Prayers are working. They are really in need of some funds to help them once he gets out of the hospital. Shelby will be unable to work for a while until his leg heals. ***My nephew, Shelby Miller, is in ICU at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He was riding his bike home from work at Papa John's in Leitchfield, KY around 2 am on July 11th, 2025. He was hit by a jeep. The impact of the jeep broke Shelby's left leg in two places, his spleen was ruptured, and his lung was blown out. Shelby was taken to the hospital, then airlifted to Louisville. He is currently in a medically induced coma. He had surgery to remove his spleen and re-inflate his lung. He currently has a chest tube. Shelby goes in today to have his broken bones repaired in his left leg. Shelby and his wife Beth rely on the meager income Shelby earns at Papa John's. They do not have family that can help with finances at this time. Any financial help would be greatly appreciated. Even if you cannot help financially, please keep Shelby in your prayers. We hope and pray he makes a full recovery. For the time being, Beth is staying with him in the ICU.
