Service Dog, Beloved Shelby’s Cancer Battle
Donation protected
Update:
6/1/24
Shelby was an amazing Service Dog and fur baby. She definitely showed me there is a lot to love about Goldens. They are one of a kind. It was heartbreaking at her 9 years that we had to have a discussion about having her no longer work as a service dog and retire. It was not in the cards, she was so used to going with us everywhere and anxious when we left her home. She was a true working dog and a caregiver to the both of us.
it’s been a hard few month grieving her passing and having a high debt to cover her medical cost. Knowing she is no longer with us and all we are left with is bills has been difficult. Grief has overtaken and it’s been hard getting to life. She was our Love and forever will me missed.
Shelby baby has left us to be in spirit form. She was ready to move on and is no longer in pain and suffering.
Cancer sucks!
She had the best final weeks, eating a lot she normally would not have, like cookies, table food, dad’s homemade carrot cake and panda.
She got to say goodbye to so many friends and family and still was filled with so much happiness and energy when she saw them. I loved seeing her tail wag so crazy!
We are now left with bills…I rather have her. If you can help or continue to share and ask others to share it would help.
Appreciate any donation.
Shelby loves you!

Hi Shelby is an amazing service dog to Louis who was involved in a hit and run crash when he was 23. Shelby golden retriever, who is 9years and 3 months saved him from day to day medical pain and triggers.
She recently had a seizure that took us to the emergency hospital. She underwent a day of vigorous medical tests and Shelby had a few diagnoses, cancer in the lungs, eye and possibly brain.
We were told to keep her comfortable and give her medication to keep her going. This was unexpected and it’s heartbreaking to have to get here.
Shelby was featured on Netflix Skin Decision Episode 6, where she showed her service dog skill for her papa. Shelby needs all the prayer and love but most of all medical care for her continued medical condition.
We have chooses not to do chemo or radiation and maintain her pain. You will help us get continued medication and cover as much of the medical costs we incurred while going to the ER Hospital.
Also when Shelby is ready, she will let us know and we will make it the most loving and serene way to go.
We are doing all we can but if anyone can help support this unexpected number of bills our family would appreciate it. Or you can contact us directly for Massage or Chef Lou Dog Treats and we are willing to work just as hard in our professional lives to financially support her.
