Shelby is a remarkable 31-year-old mother of three who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer on December 2, 2025. Since her diagnosis just one month ago, the tumor has already doubled in size. Her cancer tested negative for all three hormone receptors, meaning it does not respond to many of the standard treatment options.

Shelby is facing an intense treatment journey. She will undergo six months of chemotherapy and immunotherapy—weekly for the first half, then biweekly for the second—followed by surgery, which will likely include a mastectomy. Her chemotherapy is set to begin in just a few short weeks.

Shelby is the proud and devoted mom to three beautiful children, ages 4, 9, and 11. She is both mom and dad to her kids and their sole provider. Despite the demands of daily life, Shelby never misses a hockey game or gymnastics practice and is deeply committed to giving her children the happiest, most loving childhood possible.

In addition to being an incredible mother, Shelby gives her heart and soul to her work as an Addiction Recovery Worker, helping others through their most difficult battles. Now, we want to give her the chance to focus fully on her own fight—without the constant worry of how she will provide for her children during treatment.

Our goal is to raise $40,000 to help cover Shelby’s living expenses throughout her treatment and to fund cold capping, a treatment that may allow her to keep her hair and maintain a sense of dignity during chemotherapy. Cold capping is not covered by insurance and will cost approximately $6,000 out of pocket.
