Hello, My name is Shekinah and I am a Junior at Canisius College majoring in International Relations.
I was recently selected to take part in a immersion trip to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. While addressing different intersections of religion, culture, and education, among other topics, I will be carefully exploring the impact of several different kinds of education (government, faith-based) in the context of village culture, as well as study the various social service and community agencies which address the challenges of rural life in an increasingly modernizing region. I will be working closely with various schools and participating in interviews with cultural agencies and church leaders, worship experiences in various kinds of village churches and lectures by experts on Tanzanian culture.
This is a DREAM COME TRUE! For almost a decade I have dreamed of flying back across the atlantic to the motherland. I feel blessed to be apart of this opportunity. I would be more that thankful if you could help me make this happen. God Bless and Thank you for your time.
