Sheffields very own Billy Elliot

Donation protected
Barnaby is boy from Sheffield who at the age of 9 found a passion for ballet.
This was during Covid lockdown when he began dancing in the background of his younger (3) sister’s online zoom lessons. She later stopped dancing but Barnaby’s love for dance had been ignited.
Following being spotted at free boys master class Barnaby, now 13, trains with Northern Ballet dance academy at the Centre for Advanced Training. This is a programme funded by the Department for Education, aimed at spotting and developing the next generation of professional dancers.
However despite this much appreciated funding there is still a significant cost for other aspects of training and travel.
This year Barnaby has successfully
auditioned for and been offered places at several well known highly regarded Ballet Summer development programmes.
This includes: Yorkshire Ballet Seminars, Elmhurst Ballet School and the National Youth Ballet of Great Britain.
This would be much needed additional training to help him keep up with other talented young dancers from across the country.
Sadly, despite successfully auditioning for a part scholarship for one of the programmes, it still comes as a cost with fees, travel and some accommodation needed.
Barnaby is so passionate about ballet and works so hard towards his dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer. We would be incredibly grateful if anyone could donate to support this northern ballet boy to try to achieve his dream of being Sheffield’s very own Billy Elliot.
