Sheep Sanctuary SOS (Save Our Sanctuary)
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I’d like to share a little about myself and why I’m reaching out.
My name is Sharon – some of you may know me as the crazy sheep lady! Seventeen years ago, ( Photo is where it all began 17 years ago "Mister Milo"
I founded this sanctuary after leaving behind a successful career in fashion and design. Although I loved my work, I felt something was missing. So, I handed my business over to my daughter and followed my heart into the unknown – rescuing ex-farmed animals.
Since then, I have dedicated my life to caring for over 300 sheep and other animals, many of whom are elderly or have special needs. It’s been a true rollercoaster, but every life saved has been worth it.
The last few years, however, have been the hardest yet. Costs keep rising, and despite building a small wool business (using cruelty-free fleece from our much-loved sheep) and offering shepherds huts and “sheep hugging” experiences, the income simply isn’t enough to keep the sanctuary afloat. I’ve poured in almost all my lifetime savings, but today the sanctuary’s account is empty.
I have so many plans and ideas to make the sanctuary more sustainable, but without immediate support, I can’t move forward. The constant financial pressure is taking a toll on my health, and all I need is a lifeline – a chance to breathe, regroup, and continue this work with renewed energy.
The sheep are my world. They have given me purpose, love, and inspiration, and I want to keep giving them the safe, happy lives they deserve. But right now, I cannot do it alone.
If you are able to help, no matter how small the donation, you’ll be part of saving this sanctuary and ensuring these animals continue to live in peace, safety, and love.
This fundraiser is to cover Vet bills (£1270) and the work to get sanctuary pickup through an mot ( £1300)
With gratitude and hope,
