Sheep! Is a play about sheep. And belonging. About sheep named Katy Perry who goes to space, and the language of sheep - with shaggy jokes.
it's also a play about how to be a part of the flock after an assault that makes you scared to look anyone in their eyes again. I have written this play because something happened to me, but it has grown into a piece that supports the voice and belonging of all of those who have experienced or witnessed sexual violence that has been denied and pushed aside.
And this off-beat comedic, heartbreaking and fluffy piece needs help.
Sheep! Is set to premiere in Galway in May 2026, but we unfortunately haven't secured Arts Council funding despite many excellent attempts to do so. The competitive context is currently really tough in theatre. So I am, once again, asking for help of the flock.
The play is two weeks away from being a beautifully realised theatre production, and the team behind is so generous and hard-working - and I want to be able to pay them for what they do.
