Hi, my name is Ashley I am a long time friend of Sheena as Ryan. Recently Sheena started to experience stoke like symptoms over a week ago. Difficulty walking , excruciating headaches, ringing in her ears, one sided facial numbness and trouble swallowing. She was admitted at St Francis with MS diagnosis she was transferred to United hospital for further treatment. She has done 5 days of IV steroid infusions with no improvement. They placed a Central line for Plasmapheresis (removes the bad antibodies out of her plasma). This will be a minimum of 5 treatments every other day. This takes approximately 2 hours per treatment. She was also diagnosed with RCVS. We hope this will help improve her acute symptoms and she can get into Mayo in Rochester for a long term treatment plan. Thankfully Sheena, Ryan and the kids have such a wonderful support system to help out with the kids and everything else they have needed. Ryan has been by Sheena’s side the whole time. Both are not currently working. I am setting up this go fund me because I want to alleviate the stress of finances as they continue this journey.
