Sheba Road Repair @ the Craters
Donation protected
Merriam Flight Park, aka "The Craters", is located 30 miles North East of Flagstaff, AZ. It was established by the late Dixon White in the mid 90's as a world class paragliding and hangliding destination. Over the years thousands of free flight pilots have soared the beautiful skys of N. Arizona enjoying views of the majestic San Fransisco Peaks and Little Colorado River Valley. Sheba Crater is one of the two launch sites enjoyed by pilots from around the world. As an extinct volcano, it has the distinction of allowing 360° launches, making it flyable year round with any wind direction. It is a drive up flying site with 4x4 vehicles access. The access road to Sheba is now impassable and is in need of grading. This fund will pay for road work to reestablish access to launch. Sheba is a treasure to free flight pilots and in Dixon Whites legacy should be preserved for current and future generation to enjoy. Thank you so much for supporting this worthy effort. $1000 has been allocated by AZHPA for Sheba Road repairs. These GoFundMe donations will augment the AZHPA funds and support future maintenance requirements for Merriam Flight Park. North Sheba Crater https://goo.gl/maps/NhDPXVLA7rJ2
