Meg started feeling "off" about three weeks before she was admitted to the hospital. She was experiencing numbness and tingling in her hands and feet. Meg was also having balance issues and troubles doing day-to-day activities. Her symptoms progressively got worse and she went into the hospital on Thursday, January 31st.

After multiple tests and doctor visits Meg was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). GBS is a rare neurological disorder in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks part of its peripheral nervous system—the network of nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord. Meg spent five days in the hospital to receive treatments for GBS.

The treatments needed to treat the GBS are extremely intensive and expensive. Also, the path to recovery is currently unknown. Meg is not sure when she will be able to return to work and her everyday life. Your donations will go towards medical and other expenses to make up for being out of work for an undetermined amount of time.

Meg is an amazing woman with a heart of gold who would help anyone in need. Your donations are greatly appreciated and will help an amazing woman and family!
