This fundraising page is to help an amazing young lady with dreams and aspirations of becoming an educated productive citizen by attaining her Bachelor’s Degree at Bowie State. Shea Simmons dream is to graduate with a BS in Biology in four years. After receiving her Bachelor’s she will continue her education for another four years at a Physical Therapy School.
Shea recognized her passion for helping others in High School. She volunteered at a Physical Therapy office. She loved working with the patients. She enjoyed watching them recover using therapeutic exercise. When she graduated from High School plans for college were inevitable.
She successfully completed her first year of school with a 3.65 GPA. During that period, her mother worked full-time and paid the school a monthly fee. Unfortunately, her mother fell ill and no longer could work. She immediately reached out to her school for help. She has received a partial scholarship and student loans but still has a balance remaining. In order to return to school she will need $4800 for tuition per semester. The deadline for spring semester is January 30th, 2018.
