Shea Family Financial Help
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Angie (Huston) Fellrath. I am Tracy (Huston) Shea's sister. My other sister, Amy (Huston) Alwin, and I are creating this gofundme for Tracy's family.
Tracy's husband, Kurt Shea, is in ICU at St. Joseph's Hospital following going into sudden cardiac arrest on Friday night (Nov 11th 2016). He is currently in a medically induced coma while the doctors take necessary baby steps in fully understanding and diagnosing Kurt's neurological, heart, and pulmonary condition and what steps can be taken to treat his conditions. His condition is very fragile and the road to recovery is truly unknown at this point but it will likely be a very long journey.
Tracy and Kurt are both hard-working parents and rely on their dual income to support their 3 boys like most families. Out of respect for their privacy, I don't want to share too many details of their financial situation. Kurt was in between jobs, and really looking forward to starting his new job today (Monday Nov 14th). Tracy is a couple of months into her new job, but has not been there long enough to accrue a bank of PTO (paid/personal time off). Her current part-time/no time vs. normal full-time status will likely impact the cost and coverage of their benefits as well. The summary of all of that is that there is NO income right now while and won't be likely any time soon, much to Tracy's dismay as you can imagine.
We are raising money for the family for this reason, to help soften the blow financially for the family, to try to help avoid a catastrophic financial hardship, and to help alleviate some stress and worry so that the focus can be on Kurt's road to recovery and the families emotional state.
The money will be used to support the family in whatever expenses come up during this time - this primarily includes out of pocket medical expenses that are growing by the hour, bills, overall living expenses, and unforeseen expenses otherwise.
Tracy is the very last person that would ask for help, but the first to help others when she is able. We are more than compelled to do this on their behalf and so hoping we can get all of their friends and family to rally around them and spread the word to help this wonderful family out - first and foremost in prayer and well wishes, but also in any form of generosity. Any little bit will help! It would mean so much to us if we can help soften their financial worries and stress in any way possible.
