Hi, my name is Shawn, and I never imagined I’d be asking for help like this.

A short time ago, my fiancée Rachel suffered a sudden, life-threatening medical emergency. She had an aneurysm with internal bleeding and had to be life-flighted to Nashville. Doctors told us she was only minutes away from dying. Thanks to fast action and incredible medical care, her life was saved—but she is still not completely in the clear and remains under close medical supervision.

Everything happened so fast. We dropped everything and rushed to Nashville, using every dollar we had just to be here with her—travel, food, a place to stay, and the basic day-to-day costs that come with surviving away from home during a crisis. I’ve had to take time off work to be by her side, which means we currently have no income coming in.

To make things even harder, she did not have health insurance. The medical bills from the life flight, emergency care, and ongoing treatment are going to be overwhelming, and right now we are simply out of money while still facing an uncertain road ahead.

I’m asking for help so I can focus on supporting the woman I love while she fights to recover.
