She spent her life caring for others… today, she is fighting cancer alone.

Hello, my name is Ishani Kamburugamuwa, and I am currently working as Administration Manager in Dubai.

I am reaching out with a heavy heart for my beloved aunt, Sriya Adikari, who is 65 years old and living in Torrance, California.

My aunty is one of the kindest and gentlest people I have ever known. She worked as a caregiver in the United States, dedicating her life to looking after others—supporting them with love, patience, and compassion during their most difficult times over 10years.

She was always the one people could rely on.

But today… she is the one in need.

My aunty is unmarried and has no children or close family with her in the United States, which makes this journey even more lonely and difficult.

In October 2025, she was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer. Since then, she has gone through chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. Her treatment is still ongoing, and every day is a physical and emotional battle.

There are days she feels extremely weak, exhausted, and alone.

Over the past year, a few kind friends supported her through her treatment, and we are forever grateful for their kindness.

But now, she is living in a small shared space, and she does not want to continue being a burden to them anymore.

Because of her condition, she is unable to work and is struggling to meet even her most basic needs—rent, food, and transportation for her ongoing medical appointments.

Watching someone who spent her entire life helping others now facing this hardship alone is truly heartbreaking.

She never imagined she would have to ask for help like this… but today, she truly needs it.
