Hi everyone,
I wanted to share an update about Pixie. After many vet visits and further testing, we learned that her initial diagnosis was unfortunately incorrect. Pixie was actually suffering from chronic kidney failure a condition that, despite all efforts, had no cure.
We did everything we could for her, exploring every option and giving her as much comfort and love as possible. After careful consideration and with heavy hearts, it was decided that the kindest thing we could do was help Pixie cross the rainbow bridge peacefully.
This has been incredibly difficult for us, both emotionally and financially. The ongoing vet visits, tests, and treatments leading up to this point have resulted in significant costs. Because of this, we will be continuing the fundraiser to help cover the expenses that have accumulated.
We are so grateful for the support, kindness, and love you’ve all shown Pixie and our family during this time. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts ❤️
If you’ve ever loved a dog, you know it's not “just a pet” — they’re family. And right now, Pixie’s family is facing every pet owner’s worst nightmare.
Pixie is only 2 years old. A gentle, affectionate bully breed with the softest eyes and the happiest tail, she’s the kind of dog who instantly wins hearts. She should be at home, playing, cuddling, and bringing joy to everyone around her. Instead, she’s in and out of the emergency vet hospital fighting through unimaginable pain just to survive.
Our names are Katrina and Chelsea, and we are Pixie’s grooming team. I’ve cared for her over the past couple of years, and I can say without hesitation — she is truly special. This is why I’m stepping in to fundraise on behalf of her loving family during this incredibly difficult time.
Pixie suddenly became critically ill just days ago. What seemed minor quickly turned into a life-threatening emergency. She has been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, a severe and extremely painful condition that requires immediate, intensive medical care.
Her family is heartbroken. They are doing everything possible to save her, but the cost of emergency care is overwhelming and continues to rise with each passing hour.
As a groomer in this community, I’ve always believed in showing up for animals and the people who love them. Over the years, I’ve organized donation drives, supported families facing unexpected veterinary crises, and proudly made a significant contribution to our local humane society, Humane Society of London & Middlesex. This community has always come together for animals in need — and today, I’m hoping we can do that again for Pixie.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Pixie’s emergency medical care. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign can make a life-saving difference.
Please help us give her that chance.
From Pixie, her family, and all of us who love her — thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. ❤️
