Help Me Fight Cancer – Urgent Surgery Needed ️

Hi everyone,

My name is Van, and I am a nurse. For many years, I dedicated my life to caring for others, easing pain, and helping to save lives. I was always on the other side, supporting people during their most difficult moments.

Today, I find myself in a situation I never imagined — I am the one who needs help.

Since 2023, I have been fighting the biggest battle of my life: cancer.

I have already undergone three major surgeries.

The first was after an ovarian tumor was discovered during endometriosis surgery in December 2023. In April 2024, at the Portuguese Oncology Institute, I had a radical hysterectomy, removing my uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and omentum.

The second came unexpectedly. After a urinary infection, tests revealed a tumor in my right kidney. After CT scans, MRI, and a biopsy, I was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma. I initially underwent ablation, but the cancer returned. In November 2025, I had open surgery to remove part of my kidney.

These experiences were incredibly difficult — filled with fear, pain, and uncertainty — but also with strength and a deep desire to keep living.

Now, I am facing the possibility of a fourth surgery due to a suspected metastasis in my abdomen (peritoneum). I went through a very painful biopsy, but unfortunately, the results were inconclusive, and I still don’t have clear answers.

At the same time, I am struggling to access timely and adequate treatment through the public healthcare system in Portugal. And in my case, time is critical.

The only viable option I have found is to undergo urgent surgery in Brazil, at a private hospital in Rio de Janeiro, where I can continue my treatment without delay.
