80 days in hospital and counting

On New Year’s day 2026, Maryanne Mullett — a thyroid cancer survivor (2025) and mother of ten — risked her life to save three people in a serious accident.

She succeeded.

But she was hit by a driver and critically injured driver was charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm but Maryanne has now been in the hospital for 80 days and still remains. She has lost her ability to walk and faces a long recovery.

Maryanne is the sole provider for her 10 children, some children have special needs 10-year-old triplets Christopher and jackson who have mild Cerebral Palsy, Paul and Madelyn are autistic and twins have charot marie tooth disease so kids heavily count on Maryanne She also runs a Indigenous food business, but since the accident, she has been unable to work. Bills are piling up, and mortgage payments are falling behind.

Then tragedy struck again.

On Valentine’s Day, her children were involved in another car crash. The rental vehicle was written off. The kids survived but suffered injuries including facial trauma, head injuries, rib injuries, and severe bruising. They are now recovering at home — without a vehicle to visit their mother in the hospital. Or medical appointment

This family is physically hurt, emotionally exhausted, and financially overwhelmed.
