Our daughter Amina is a Clemson University student with a 4.0 GPA who recently sat us down and did something we didn’t expect… she made a full presentation explaining why she deserved a $2,000 budget for her study abroad trip to Japan.
What made it special wasn’t just the presentation. It was everything behind it.
Amina isn’t just a great student. She’s an Academic Success Center tutor for Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, helping other students succeed in some of the toughest courses. On top of that, she worked three jobs and saved over $5,600 this past year, showing real discipline and responsibility.
Instead of just asking for money, she built a case. She showed her effort, her growth, and why this opportunity matters to her.
We shared her presentation online, and the response surprised us. So many people said the same thing:
“She earned it.”
Some even asked how they could contribute.
So we created this page for anyone who wants to support Amina’s journey as she studies abroad in Japan, an experience that will expand her education, her perspective, and her future.
Every donation, big or small, goes directly toward helping her make the most of this opportunity.
This isn’t about a handout. It’s about recognizing effort, discipline, and a young woman who took the initiative to advocate for herself the right way.
If you’d like to support her journey, we truly appreciate it.
Thank you for supporting Amina.
