She Lives Her Dream – Drama School
At six years old, this little girl,
Full of joy, a small wind whirl,
Started school, it must be fate,
With a teacher who was her gate
Into a world that would become
The most beloved thing she’s done.
The lady taught to read and write,
But languages, science she put aside,
So the kids put more time into art,
Which soon became a very big part
Of the little girl’s life, because you see,
She fell in love immediately.
Wendy, mouse, princess too,
“The Christmas snail” she loved to do.
Learned about comedy, voice and beats,
Narrated audiobook-CDs,
And outside of school she got the chance
To take up choir, compete in dance,
Take singing lessons, acting class,
Read acting books – of course en masse.
At 8 – this is a memory of mine –
Happened to be the very first time,
The girl used an online research tool,
And typed “Where’s the best drama school?”
Then at 13 – I remember the rage,
She was one day greeted off stage,
by mum and dad who just *poof*
out of the blue told her they’d move,
to China where it would be hard,
to find a teacher of her art.
I fast-forward, ten years have gone by,
She lived in three countries after Shanghai,
Moved where and did what her parents said to,
‘cause that was what she was used to do.
The spark was still there, but afraid to come out,
society’s protests were too loud.
Then one day, after her master’s degree,
The girl wondered “what has become of me?
I’m good at this job, but put that aside,
Every flame in me has died."
From that realisation it didn’t take long,
Till her bags were packed and she was gone,
Off to London for acting and dance,
And there, in one short instance,
Back is the girl, fire in her eye,
Acting, singing, flying high.
Acting especially, this wonderful art,
Makes her soar, breaks her heart,
The tears after lessons won’t stop,
The realisation that makes her heart drop:
"It’s all still in me, and I can’t only act,
I can turn into the roles in fact."
Learning methods, the magic IF,
Actioning, anything of Stanislavski’s,
The theoretical approach, a hundred notes,
Working on text, this all totes
Is what pushes her, stirs her fire,
She wants to work, do more, go higher.
And the thing is, she is good!
Name any action, any mood,
She'll give you everything she’s got,
And bring excitement to the plot.
That’s been the point from the start,
She's outstanding at her art.

want to do until I die.
Full of fire, a real wind whirl,
I am an actress. I am that girl.
At 6 years old I had my first lead role in a play. That's when the dream started building. When I was a teenager, I started researching drama schools and after finishing high school, I would find out everything about auditions every year. But I never went for my dream.
Until now. After years of training in acting, singing and dance I auditioned for London's drama schools, and I got into the best of them. This spring I was offered a place at the MA Acting course at East 15 Acting School (University of Essex), which was awarded the UK's best drama school in 2018 and 2019. I have spent many months thinking back and forth about whether to jump into the unknown and leave behind a wonderful home, a great job, incredible friends and family and actually go for my dream – and I decided to do so. My social media is called "She Lives Her Dream" for a reason. There's a reason for why I have thought about acting schools for over ten years and considered to audition for over ten years. There's a reason why I've taken about 15 hours of classes every week last year. There's a reason why I learned ten monologues last year to offer at my auditions. This is my dream. I need to do this.
But in order to make the dream true, I need your help. I'm ready to work hard, as I always have. But financially, it won't be enough.
Expenses:
Tuition fee MA degree: 15 000 GBP = 16 671 €
Rent: 12x 500 GBP = 6000 GBP = 6669 €
Books & other study expenses to get before course begins: 307€
Weekly singing lessons: 4x12x30 GBP = 1 440 GBP = 1 601 €
(excluding dance classes and life expenses)
Sum (per year): 25 248 €
Total sum: 50 496 €

During the past year, I lived as frugally as I could (my only big expenses being rent and of course my musical theatre, acting, singing and dance classes which will help me pursue this career), and managed to save up 16 000 €. Additionall, the Finnish state will support my studies in 2020-2021 by contributing approx. 400€ per month (student support). That means I have 22 800 € already, which leaves 27 696 € to spare.
I'm planning to take on as many social media jobs and hold as many social media and branding workshops etc. as I can during my studies. But I know that I won't manage on my own, and school days will last from 9am to 6pm, possibly longer during the week.
