Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am Sadies mom.

Sadie was diagnosed with stage 4 Medullary Thyroid Cancer last year. This is a rare form of cancer and is non RET which means radioactive iodine and chemotherapy is not a cure.

She has had 2 major surgeries leaving her with nerve damage to both her left and right side.

Her tumor markers are up and the ultrasound showed a tumor growing on or against her vocal cords. (We are waiting for an MRI).

After seeing the Dr on Thursday it was determined to proceed with a 3rd and the most dangerous surgery yet. Sadie has to decide if it is ok to cut the nerve which controls your breathing. If this nerve is cut she will need a Trach and G-Tube. If she decides against the cut they will debulk and attempt radiation . (Again radiation is not a cure due to the type of cancer). She will be going into surgery the 1st part of July. We don't have an exact date yet as the surgeon is trying to coordinate.

She needs everyone's help. She has 3 children, 2 step-children and is not able to work. Her husband is trying to juggle work and home but everything just keeps building up on them.

Please, anything you can do to help ease some of her worry.
