Welcome to Collective Glow, where we are on a mission to create a brighter, more empowered future for communities in Uganda and beyond. We are a passionate nonprofit organization dedicated to the holistic development of individuals through educational, creative, and transformative initiatives.

About us: Collective Glow is a Ugandan nonprofit organization dedicated to improving and empowering communities through educational, creative, developmental, and fun programs. Our initiatives encompass art and craft workshops, performing arts (music, dance, and theatre), life skills training, mental and physical health programs, personal and professional development training, school sponsorship, community events, human rights awareness, and exchange programs.

Our mission is to serve, empower, and protect the communities in which we work, creating safe spaces that inspire personal growth, development, and community transformation.
Who we are fundraising for:
The She Is HipHop initiative: Launched in 2019 under Collective Glow. She Is HipHop is committed to building girls and women through hiphop and various art forms. We use hiphop and other art forms as tools to bring together people of different backgrounds to share and exchange practical skills, knowledge, developmental ideas, and inspiration in various areas of life. The initiative offers free skills-based workshops, an annual She Is Hiphop Festival, online dance classes led by female professionals worldwide, and outreach programs in Uganda and beyond.

Workshops/Outreaches: Throughout the year, we hold various workshops in the arts, including dance, poetry, spoken word, beatboxing, visual arts, crafts, and writing. We also focus on personal hygiene, with an emphasis on menstrual health, and conduct discussions on physical and mental health, gender-based violence, with a focus on human rights awareness. These workshops are free and open to anyone. Our goal is to reach as many communities as possible, at home, regionally, and beyond, to teach free practical skills and exchange developmental ideas, among others.

The She Is Hiphop Festival: The She Is Hiphop Festival, an annual event launched on March 30th, 2019, marks the first all-female hiphop festival in Africa. It is dedicated to celebrating, highlighting, and showcasing the talents of female artists, educators, leaders, positive role models, and women-led/owned businesses. Our 4th annual She Is Hiphop Festival on March 30, 2024, at the Sharing Youth Centre in Kampala, Uganda.

The festival, free and open to all, is designed as a community event that creates a unique space for individuals, organizations, companies, and businesses to connect, network, and showcase their contributions to the community. It serves as a catalyst for collaborations and partnerships, encouraging self-expression, the exchange of developmental ideas, teaching, learning, and the creation of employment opportunities.

Led and facilitated entirely by girls and women, the festival offers a platform for music, poetry, and dance performances and showcases. Additionally, it features discussions on vital topics such as mental health, human rights, and business. Workshops focusing on areas like menstrual health, beatboxing, dance, and arts and crafts create an energetic and empowering environment. The She Is Hiphop Festival is more than just an event; it's a movement breaking barriers, amplifying voices, and fostering a supportive community.
