In memory of Lola - Down with FIP!
Donation protected
Lola has been with me through the toughest period of my life. I’ve depended on her as my little buddy, and now she needs my help. She is in the ICU on pressors and oxygen for what appears to be feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), which is universally fatal. Thankfully there is a treatment now which cures FIP in the majority of cats. However, I need to give her the best chance possible to benefit from the medication. I can't cover the costs on my resident salary, so I am turning to my family and friends for help. The hospital has quoted $10k for the stay, and I have exhausted my own resources. I'm therefore asking for your help.
Her medical costs include ICU care (pressors, oxygen support, albumin), fluid resuscitation, paracentesis, cytology/PCR of the ascitic fluid, diagnostic abdominal ultrasound, and FIP treatment injections.
After losing my previous cats, Rocky and Milo, at young ages, I want to do everything possible to support her and get her back to basking in the sunlight and playing with her favorite sushi toy. I would appreciate any possible assistance you could give to cover her care.
