She gets by with a little help from her friends

To know Nell is to love Nell. And to know Nell is sick is heartbreaking. A day before school started, Nell received the diagnosis we all fear: You have cancer. Her initial reaction was to continue with the start of school, because that’s what exceptional educators like Nell do--they keep going. However, after meeting with an oncologist, this original plan became unrealistic.
Though she is not dealing with the hustle and bustle of 2,300 teenagers, she’s now staring down the beast of a liver cancer diagnosis and a difficult prognosis. But she will not be alone.
With the help of your generosity, we want to provide the financial freedom to fly her children home from the each of the coasts and to offer a modicum of relief from the overwhelming cost of care and services.
