Help us give my wife her first paid vacation in 14 years.

Hello. I'm Mariusz. I was sitting on my couch, trying to figure out how I can help my wife recover. I am a truck driver working 13 hours per day. My wife works from home, she has a daycare. She is living her passion and she is completely dedicated and in love with her kids. We have one daughter. Before becoming a truck driver, I had a corporate career in finance, which eventually led to my burnout and depression that lasted 7 years in total. During that time, Julie, took care of everything... Literary everything. She kept us afloat, managed finances, worked non-stop, hurt, injured, stressed, exhausted of our situation and still being an amazing wife and a wonderful mother. She was morally and physically there to support me. She was also caring for her two parents. I've been well for few years now and only recently reached a level where she can count on me again, both financially and emotionally. However, her unselfish commitment to our family and her ill husband, has taken its toll. She is now on the verge of burnout, she cannot stop working because she is self employed. There is no unemployment option for her. There is no sick leave for her. She earns money when she works. Just like many self employed people in Canada. I can't speak for other countries because I don't know it it's the same as over here.

She has been trying to regain her happy personality, her positive attitude and especially her energy.

She has a sprained ankle that she can't take the proper time to heal. It's been weeks and it's not getting better at all. She is physically exhausted from carrying for her father, who dies from Alzheimer's two years ago. And few months ago, she lost her mom, due to Alzheimer's as well. She went through so much. We are working and paying bills just like most people out there and we know very well the value of a hard earned dollar.

So as I was sitting on the couch yesterday and kept thinking about her saying that all she wants is two to three weeks of work so that she can recover her injuries and regain her energy and thus reconnecting with the girl that she was. She misses that girl, and so do I.

So I am setting up this fundraiser for the sole purpose of getting her 3 weeks of work, but even a week will be very beneficial for her. The money raised will be used to pay an employee to replaceme her for three weeks and to provide freshly prepared meals for kids lunch. This is the the only way that I can help her get that rest within a reasonable timeframe. As a truck driver, I cannot work more than 70 hours per week and I already do 60 to 63. Aside from my work, I am doing my best to take as much mental charge as I can from her circle of responsibilities.

Thank you to every single person that can help me attain this goal. We are hard working people, we help others, we both have been caregivers for almost 10 years. We are licenced first aids for over 10 years. We have adopted many stray cats. We love life, but my wife has been progressively losing that spark. Your generosity will help her get the rest she needs in order to get her awesome life loving personality back in shape. Thank you for reading and we also accept gifts of good energy.

Julie's birthday is on July 9th and on that day, I will give her the entirety of the donations with a list of names of everyone who have contributed.
