She Framed Me as her Stalker & Destroyed My Life

My name is Delilah and my life has been a journey through adversity and survival. From childhood abuse to adult challenges, I've endured more than my fair share of trials. Today, I stand before you to share a harrowing story of betrayal, racial abuse, and injustice. My plea is for your support as I seek justice and rebuild my life, shattered by a complex web of lies.

In my 32 years of life, I have faced numerous challenges that could have broken me. From surviving abuse at the hands of my father during my childhood to enduring verbal and emotional abuse as a teenager, I've navigated a turbulent path. The journey continued into adulthood, where I found myself trapped in a physically abusive marriage. My workplace experiences were no different, as I was subjected to racial discrimination. Throughout my life, I carried the weight of feeling like an outcast, a target for pain and discrimination. Amid the turmoil, I found a glimmer of hope when I met Sarah, a White woman in Colorado Springs who shared my dreams of becoming a recording artist. Sarah and I quickly formed a deep connection and became best friends. For the first time in my life, I felt truly seen, accepted, and even loved. However, Sarah's love came at a high price - I was forced to diminish myself to fit into her world, prioritize her needs and those of her daughter over my own, and provide her with unfettered access to my resources. As time passed, my journey led me to therapy, where I started to embrace my power as a Black woman. It became apparent that my relationship with Sarah had become toxic, and I made the difficult decision to end our friendship. This marked the beginning of a dark chapter in my life.

Sarah's response to our breakup was nothing short of a betrayal. Fueled by revenge, she leveraged her White privilege and manipulated the criminal justice system. With the help of others she influenced, she orchestrated an elaborate stalking hoax that involved her minor children to frame me as her stalker. She successfully portrayed herself as the victim, casting a shadow over my innocence. The consequences of Sarah's actions were catastrophic. My career as a creative artist was decimated, my income as an entrepreneur obliterated, my dreams as a recording artist dashed, my reputation in the community tarnished, and my relationships with family and friends fractured. My mental health suffered, and I came dangerously close to losing my life, while Sarah catapulted herself to success in the music industry, opening for renowned celebrities, all at my expense.
But I am not a victim anymore; I am a survivor with the strength to fight back. I am determined to hold Sarah accountable in a court of law. However, this battle is financially burdensome, and I cannot win it without your support. The Colorado Springs Police Department and the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office have ignored my pleas for justice, refusing to investigate Sarah's claims or examine the substantial evidence of my innocence.

It is essential to highlight the disparity in the treatment of similar situations. Carlee Russell, a Black woman in Alabama, executed a misdemeanor-level kidnapping hoax, and law enforcement acted swiftly to investigate her claims. They discovered evidence that she had fabricated the kidnapping, and she was promptly arrested and charged. In contrast, Sarah walks free, perpetuating her false narrative and causing me further harm as I attempt to rebuild my shattered life.

Today, I humbly ask for your support, not only to secure an attorney who advocates for the rights of Black Americans but also to help me restore the financial stability that was obliterated with the loss of my business income and opportunities. Your contribution will help me regain my voice, rebuild my life, and seek justice against the injustice I've faced.

In closing, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you who chooses to stand with me on this arduous journey. By supporting this campaign, you are not just helping me; you are also joining the fight for equality and justice under the law. Your love and compassion can help me emerge from the shadows of my past and create a brighter future. Together, we can rewrite the narrative of my life, one that is defined by strength, resilience, and the pursuit of justice.

Thank you for your generosity and for standing with me as I embark on this path to healing and transformation.
