She Found Her Voice—Now She’s Been Invited to the National Stage

My name is Angela, and I’m asking for help for my daughter, Briannah—because she has earned an opportunity that could change her life, and I don’t want finances to be the reason she misses it.
Briannah was personally invited to attend a week-long national leadership conference through the YMCA Youth and Government program. This isn’t something she casually signed up for—this invitation was based on her leadership, dedication, and the impact she’s already making.
Less than two years ago, Briannah was quiet and unsure of herself. She didn’t believe her voice mattered. Today, she’s speaking up in rooms where decisions are made—and making sure others are heard too.
Through the YMCA, she started saying yes—to helping in the teen center, mentoring younger kids, and getting involved in programs like Minority Achievers and entrepreneurship. Step by step, she built confidence, found her voice, and stepped into leadership.
That growth led her into advocacy.
Through Youth and Government, Briannah has:
Traveled to the State House to participate in Youth and Government
Helped move a bill forward for state legislature review this year
Continued pushing forward even after setbacks the year before
Even ran for Governor within the YMCA Youth and Government program
These are not small accomplishments. This is a young person actively working to create real change.
What drives her most is her passion for mental health.
Briannah wants to write and propose legislation that would integrate mental health into public health systems and school curriculums—because she believes every young person deserves support, understanding, and access to resources.
At this national conference, she will have the opportunity to:
Write and present proposals on a national level
Strengthen her debate and public speaking skills
Participate in national judicial competitions, where students argue and defend real court cases
Connect with other young leaders from across the country
This is more than a trip—it’s a chance for her to grow into the leader she is becoming.
Briannah has received some financial aid, but it does not cover the full cost. We are trying to raise $2,500 to help cover travel, hotel, and daily expenses.
The deadline to secure her spot is May 1, 2026, and time is limited.
If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small. Every dollar brings her closer to this opportunity.
If you can’t donate, sharing this would mean just as much.
Thank you for supporting Briannah and believing in a young leader who is working to make a difference.
