My name is Kathryn and I’ve gone back and forth about how much to say here, because this is incredibly personal but staying quiet isn’t an option when someone I love is being pushed into a position like this.

My niece, Tyler, is one of the strongest women I know. She has already fought battles most people couldn’t even imagine. Fighting for her life not once, but twice, and finding the strength to walk away from a relationship that was not healthy for her or her children.

Through all of that, one thing has never changed; her dedication to her boys. They are her entire world. Everything she does is to give them stability, love, and a sense of security.

Right now, she is facing a custody situation that has become overwhelming and, at times, deeply unfair. She is being put in a position where she has to fight to protect the life she has built for her children and the emotional and financial toll of that is immense.

I’m watching someone who has already survived so much now being stretched to her limit, simply trying to make sure her voice is heard and her children remain in a stable, loving environment.

This is not about conflict. This is not about tearing anyone down.

This is about making sure she has a fair chance.

Family court is complicated, exhausting, and expensive. The retainer needed to secure proper legal representation is more than she can manage alone, and time is critical.
