Trust me when I say this road has not been easy at all for my Princess Jada Ann Perales nor for me as her mother, her step dad, her partner, her siblings, or her entire family. Cancer is something NO ONE ever wants to hear... But it's real and it happens. We have lost so many loved ones to this awful disease, but we declare VICTORY over and for our Princess Jada! In January during her 4 months of pregnancy we noticed a small lump in the middle of her neck, which thankfully her OB Dr. immediately started doing testing and sending her to all the right Dr's. Then on May 11 of 2021 her Endocrinologist officially diagnosed her with Thyroid Cancer. I can't even begin to explain the overwhelming of feelings we all felt. Due to the diagnosis, her pregnancy and the many Dr appointments she had going on she had to miss out on so much she had going on like prom, banquet, maternity and graduation pictures, and also her baby shower that we had to cancel.. But believe me when I say she has faced this with nothing but smiles, positive vibes and the strongest faith one can ever have!! During this difficult time she has graduated highschool, gave birth to a beautiful Lil girl named Azeal Ann, and she continues to be a beautiful soul and an amazing full time nursing mommy with a smile on her face at all times! Her sickness was never meant to be a secret it was only giving us time to deal with it as a family, but now we are at the road where she has to go in August 13th to have 2 surgeries with 2 surgeons at the same exact time working together. It will be a Thyroidectomy and A neck dissection (to take out some of her lymph nodes due to the spreading of the cancer). We have Faith and believe that God has directed us to the right Endocrinologist and surgeons to get this done, and we also have faith and believe that after the surgeries she will continue to walk around with her baby girl in her arms spreading the word on how amazing God is and how she beat Cancer and is Cancer Free!!! She isn't alone... She Fights We Fight because Her Fight is Our Fight!!
