GoFundMe Update (Jan 19, 2026)—From Christina Yaconelli

Hi friends, Christina Yaconelli here.

First, thank you. Truly. When we launched this GoFundMe last April with a $25,000 goal, we raised $14,000, and that support quite literally kept Tré Taylor going. So many of you showed up with generosity, encouragement, and love—and it mattered more than I can express.

I’m posting an update today because the emergency is still happening.

Tré is still living in her van through winter, and right now her vehicle—her only home and transportation—is making terrible engine noises and needs repairs urgently. She’s trying to stay safe, stay warm, and keep working through pet sitting and house sitting, but if her van can’t reliably drive, everything gets riskier: income, safety, appointments, and the ability to get to the next stable opportunity.

What Tré needs right now

We’re trying to raise at least $800 immediately to help cover urgent engine repair costs so Tré can keep her van safely on the road.

She’s also facing the ongoing basics that many of you understand all too well:

Van registration and essential bills

Food and daily survival costs

Safe, legal parking options (especially after dark)

Longer-term stability as she continues trauma therapy and rebuilds her life

Tré has been working hard to heal and recover after a terrifying break-in last Mother’s Day (2024) while she was asleep. She’s been doing the best she can—but being unhoused is expensive, stressful, and relentless, and right now she needs a little “angels-with-gas-money” kind of help to get through the next stretch.

If you can help in any way…

Donate any amount—truly, anything helps

Share this fundraiser (sharing is a donation too)

If you have pet-sitting/house-sitting leads in California, Oregon, or Nevada, especially longer-term opportunities, please reach out

If you know of safe off-street parking options in the San Francisco Bay Area, that information is incredibly valuable

If Tré has ever made you smile, fed you, sung to you, lifted your spirits, or reminded you there’s still some magic in this world—this is a moment where your support can make a real, practical difference.

Thank you for caring. Thank you for showing up. And thank you for helping Tré stay safe and keep moving forward.

With deep gratitude,
Christina Yaconelli

✨ GoFundMe Update – December 9th ✨
from Christina Yaconelli, on behalf of Tré Taylor

Friends, I just wanted to share a deeply heartfelt update on behalf of our beloved Tré. Today, December 9th, we can officially say the mirror has been replaced—and it’s only because of you. Every donation, every prayer, every share… It all came together, and Tré is back on the road safely.

Thank you, truly, from the bottom of our hearts.

A special shout-out as well to the wonderful friends opening their homes to her this winter. Because of you, she’ll have warm, dry, peaceful places to land during the cold months—and that kind of kindness is not forgotten.

If anyone has needs for pet sitting or house sitting, please remember Tré. She works with enormous love and integrity, and those opportunities help her stay safe and stable while rebuilding after such a difficult setback.

Your generosity has carried her through a very heavy moment, and we are both humbled and grateful.

If you feel called to continue supporting her journey, contributions toward housing for January and February would make a tremendous difference. Truly—every bit helps more than you know.

Thank you for lifting her up. Thank you for standing with her. And thank you for reminding her she is not walking this road alone.

With so much love and gratitude,
Christina

December 3, 2025

Hello everyone, this is Christina Yaconelli writing on behalf of our beloved Tré Taylor.

We wanted to share an unfortunate update from this past weekend. Tré was finally back onstage singing at Winter’s Tavern in Pacifica—her first live performance in six months—and while she was inside bringing joy to the room, someone sideswiped her van and broke the driver’s side mirror.

This repair is approximately $400, and as many of you know, Tré lives in her van and simply cannot drive safely without this fixed. With her birthday coming up next week, any support toward this repair would be an incredible gift and a huge relief.

Here is a note from Tr é:

“Thank you to everyone who has helped me get this far. I’m grateful beyond words.
This mirror situation has been an unexpected blow, and anything you can offer to help me get it repaired means the world. Truly—thank you.”

We appreciate every donation, every share, and every kind word.
Your love keeps her safe and rolling.

With gratitude,
Christina (on behalf of Tr é)

A Message From Christina Yaconelli on Behalf of Tré Taylor

My name is Christina Yaconelli, and I am asking for help on behalf of my dear friend Tré Taylor.

Tré is a longtime Bay Area artist, jazz singer, storyteller, community builder, and—for the last several years—a full-time van lifer after losing her job, her housing, and most of her stability during the pandemic.

She has survived more hardship than most people ever have to face:
• major surgeries
• chronic pain
• dental emergencies
• homelessness
• job loss
• van breakdowns
• financial devastation

Through all of this, she has continued to create, to stay positive, and to share her story and her music with others. She has always been someone who showed up for her community.

But winter is here—and her van is no longer safe to live in.

Tré is currently sleeping in her vehicle in freezing conditions. She has no heat, no stable shelter, and no way to get herself into safe housing without help. We are deeply grateful to everyone who donated before—you helped her repair her van and get critical dental care.
But we did not reach the full amount needed, and now the situation has become urgent again.

We are asking for $9,500 to secure safe temporary housing for Tré through the winter and help her get back on her feet.

Any amount—truly any amount—will make a real and immediate difference.

If Tré has ever touched your life through her music, her meals, her events, her kindness, or her friendship, please consider helping her now.
And if you are unable to give, please share this campaign with anyone who may be able to.

Thank you for helping her find warmth, safety, and a chance to rebuild.

With gratitude,
Christina Yaconelli
