Hello my name is Stephanie. I started this fundraiser to help my daughter, Coral. She was recently nominated and awarded a certificate as an Oregon Ambassador of Music. This includes an European tour in July 2022 where she will perform and represent Oregon. The initial payment of $829 to secure her spot on tour is due November 15, 2021. The entire trip will cost $6593.00 plus fees, plus the costs of gas to get to and from the day camps for rehearsals (possibly hotel rooms as we do not live near there), to and from the airport, her passport, her uniform, meals, drinks and snacks while overseas, calling cards as well as souvenirs and any other miscellaneous costs. Any and all funds produced with be used for educational purposes. Should she make above asking she will use it for other fieldtrips and or College. She is a safe, respectful and responsible student. Who has accomplished so many things some of which were unattended due to Covid-19 cancelations. She was in leadership positions in elementary school, was in the buddy program where they paired her up with troubled students to try and make a difference in their lives. She volunteered her recess time to help in the Kindergarten classrooms and was a part of the Robotics team. Before school she was in band and after school she was in orchestra. Then in middles school she was part of a Leadership team and was manager of the Boys basketball team. She placed in the highest Band class offered and she was awarded lead percussionist. Coral was also in Choir and placed in the highest choir offered. She was also awarded a certificate in Science and The Rotary Club Student of The Year award. Now she is a sophomore in high school and she has taken Honors biology, honors chemistry, Choir and Several Theatre classes. She has been awarded outstanding performance in the best show of 2020/2021 and has been Inducted into the International Thespians Society. She is a percussionist in band, she is in marching band, and drumline and has been offered a place in the highest Band class offered. Her current band teacher has nominated her as 1 of 3 students for Oregon Ambassadors of Music and she was accepted and awarded. She has done the work and got the recognition. Now I need help getting her the funds to take this once in a life time trip. There will be other fieldtrips in the coming years but nothing like this opportunity. She has already started asking for donations from friends and family, has started a letter to businesses to see if someone can help sponsor her, spoke with the teacher about fundraising ideas and opportunities (if any), doing side work and trying to figure out how to squeeze a part time job into her obligations as she really wants to experience this opportunity.
